  Allegra Network LLC, is one of world’s largest graphic communications franchises linking more than 600 locations in North America and the United Kingdom. The company ranks in the top 200 in sales among all franchise companies in the world. Allegra Network LLC is considered a leader in franchise training, technology implementation and system profitability.

The company supports six brands under its printing division – Allegra Print & Imaging, American Speedy Printing, Insty-Prints, Speedy Printing and Zippy Print and the Signs Now brand under its sign division. Members of its printing division offer advanced graphic communications technologies including full-color printing, graphic design services, digital color printing, mailing services, promotional products, signs and banner, high volume output and online file transfer; members of its sign division provide an array of sign solutions from creative concept to final production of high-impact, professional signs, banners and other visual communications tools to businesses worldwide.

  Allegra Network History and Special Milestones:
   
  Founded in 1976 and began franchising in 1977 with five locations in Michigan.
   
  In 1987, opened its first center in Canada marketing under the name Speedy Printing Centers. Today the company has more than 30 franchised printing centers in Canada.
   
  In 1990, became the first American printing franchise to successfully establish operations in the Japanese market. The company since developed multiple centers serving the Japanese market through its master licensee, Speedy International.
   
  In 1993, was acquired by an investor group that included noted entrepreneur and computer pioneer and Chairman of Inacom Corp., Rick Inatome, former NBA basketball star Isiah Thomas, along with the current company management.
   
  In 1993, the company launched its Profit Mastery Program which includes advanced training, the Operating Ratio Study, an annual benchmarking study, and Performance Groups designed to enhance the sales and profitability of the centers.
   
  In 1995, acquired Zippy Print, a Canadian franchise printing company with 37 locations.
   
  In 1995, based on input from its franchisees, the company introduced a new brand which better communicates company’s shift away from simple quick printing services to more sophisticated digital and sophisticated technologies. The Allegra Print & Imaging brand was test-marketed in 1996 with seven of the most advanced centers as test sites. In 1997, Allegra Network became the first franchise printing company in history to successfully launch a new concept, continue to support its original brand and sustain record sales growth. Currently more than 180 centers operate under the Allegra Print & Imaging brand, accounting for more than half of the company’s system-wide sales.
   
  Launched Allegra Digital Imaging in 1996. This state-of-the-art, full color digital printing facility provides wholesale printing services to a network of franchise members.
   
  In 1998, acquired franchise agreements of 24 Quik Print and Instant Copy centers from XYAN, Inc. Many of these locations have since successfully transitioned to the Allegra Print & Imaging brand.
   
  Due to the success of the Allegra Print & Imaging brand, the corporate name changed from American Speedy Printing Centers, Inc., to Allegra Network LLC on October 1, 2000.
   
  In October 2000, an investor group, led by the management of Allegra Network LLC purchased the company. Principal shareholders include Domino’s Pizza founder and former CEO Thomas S. Monaghan, William D. McIntrye, chairman and CEO, President Carl Gerhardt and other members of Allegra Network management.
   
  July 12, 2001, Allegra Network LLC celebrated its 25th anniversary.
   
  January 31, 2002, acquired Insty-Prints, Inc., a franchise with 210 locations in the United States and Poland and system-wide sales of over $124 million (2000). The acquisition of Insty-Prints was the third franchisor acquisition the company completed in the less than ten years and expanded the network’s presence to include the District of Columbia, Idaho, Louisiana, New Mexico, and South Dakota.
   
  January 2003, Allegra Network was ranked as the 54th best and 20th fastest growing franchise in Entrepreneur magazine’s Franchise 500®, based on the company’s financial strength, stability, growth rate and size.
   
  January 1, 2004, William D. McIntyre, president and CEO, became the company’s new chairman, as Carl Gerhardt, vice president of consulting was promoted to president and COO.
   
  January 2004, Allegra Network was ranked 108 in Entrepreneur magazine’s Annual Franchise 500® and was ranked the 90th global franchise. These honors mark the twentieth year Allegra Network has ranked among the Franchise 500®.
   
  February 6, 2004, Allegra Network relocated from Troy, Michigan to its new office in Northville, Michigan.
   
  In July 2004, Allegra Network introduced its Digital Print Center, a streamlined facility that specializes in digital document output, copying and graphic design, along with other business communications services. Digital Print Centers are targeted to open in small-medium-sized markets and operate under the Allegra Print & Imaging brand.
   
  January 31, 2005, acquired Signs Now Corporation, a franchise with 229 locations in North America, the United Kingdom and Brazil with system-wide sales of over $70 million (2004).
   
  In September 2005, Allegra Network was chosen as a Future 50 of Detroit recipient, based on the company’s outstanding contribution to Southeast Michigan through growth in employment, investments, community enhancement, revenues and acquisitions.
   
  In May 2006, Steve White, Allegra Network’s executive vice president, was also named president of Signs Now, the company’s sign division in Sarasota, Florida.
   
  In April 2006, Allegra Network’s FootPRINT Fund® for nonprofit friends awarded more than $1.4 million in free print and graphic services to qualifying nonprofit organizations, associations, charities and institutions.
   
  Allegra’s Conversion or “matchmaker” Program, as it is often called, which matches new Allegra franchisees looking to buy an existing business with independent printers looking to sell, reached new heights in 2006 – with 16 Conversion Print Centers open operating under the company’s Allegra Print & Imaging brand, and more than 700 potential markets identified.
   
  As a result of organic and acquisition growth, Allegra Network announced record system-wide sales of $369 million in 2006.
   
  In January 2007, Carl Gerhardt, Allegra’s current president and chief operating officer was promoted to president and chief executive officer. Bill McIntyre, the company’s former CEO, remained the company’s chairman as well as its managing partner.

  Sales and Growth
   
  The company has grown from five centers in Michigan to more than 450 locations in 42 states, Canada and the Far East, including Japan.
   
  Franchise system sales have grown from $56 million in 1986 to $183 million in 1996 to $369 million in 2006.
   
  As a result of the company’s emphasis on digital technology, relationship marketing and the consultative sales, median center sales were $700,190 in 2005.
   
  Franchise profitability has increased in each of the last five years, attributable in part to the implementation of the annual Operating Ratio Study, the Profit Mastery program, and to Performance Groups in which franchise members exchange ideas and financial information to help improve efficiency and profitability.

  More than 50 corporate staff members provide training and technical support, as well as sales and marketing programs. Regional personnel located throughout North America function as business consultants to help franchise members increase sales, maintain a higher level of profitability and improve overall operations.
   
  Franchise members include former corporate executives, engineers, teachers, police officers, accountants, and professional athletes. A number of them own multiple locations.
