Danka Business Systems PLC (NASDAQ: DANKY) today
accepted Allegra Network's prestigious Supplier of the Year
award in a presentation at Danka's U.S. headquarters in St.
Petersburg, Florida. In winning the award, Danka bested 17 other
major suppliers - including Adobe, Datalogics, and Xerox - who
provide support to Allegra Network, one of the largest printing
franchises in the world
"Danka's service and response is outstanding, so working
with them is a pleasure," said Allegra Network President
and Chief Operating Officer Carl Gerhardt. "This award
recognizes Danka's important contributions to the success of
our company and our franchisees across the United States and
Canada. In particular, Danka's Enterprise Account structure
ensures that franchisees enjoy a high level of personalized
service and support." Danka won the Supplier of the Year
award by receiving the endorsement of the Allegra Network's
franchisee advisory council, regional operations directors,
and technology group. The selection criteria included strong
communications with franchisees and corporate staff, growth
initiatives to help franchisees, and a high-level of service.
Allegra Network links more than 400 print and graphic communications
centers, including such well-known brands as Allegra Print &
Imaging, American Speedy Printing, Insty-Prints,
Speedy Printing, and Zippy Print. These independently owned
and operated sites provide advanced printing technologies including
full-color printing, graphic design services, digital color
and high speed copying and online file transfer to a wide range
of local businesses. Franchisees in the Allegra Network have
enjoyed five consecutive years of profitability growth attributable
to the comprehensive support programs the company provides in
the areas of marketing, operations and technology.
Danka provides full service, supplies, and technical support
for the high-end production printers installed at many of the
Allegra Network locations, and the company provides an additional
benefit to some franchisees by consolidating all of their service
needs under a single arrangement utilizing Danka's innovative
TechSource multi-vendor services capabilities.
"I am pleased to accept this award on behalf of our Enterprise
Account team, technical services personnel, and all of the Danka
associates who provide support to the Allegra Network,"
commented Danka Chief Executive Officer Todd Mavis. "Because
franchisees work with a wide variety of suppliers, including
one of our main competitors, being named the best is a special
honor. We've worked diligently to ensure that Allegra Network
locations receive unsurpassed print and related services from
us, and as a result we've been named the preferred provider
for the past two years. Now, being named Supplier of the Year
recognizes our success to date and motivates us even more to
deliver the highest levels of customer satisfaction to the Allegra
Network."
