Allegra Network recently awarded Lawrence Binding
Systems (LBS), the company's first ever Supplier of the Year
Award at their 2003 International Convention in Vancouver, British
Columbia.
Brian Baker, Allegra Network's printing equipment specialist,
presented the award to LBS President Bill Lawrence based on
the company's continuous commitment to outstanding service to
Allegra Network's franchisees.
Tim Wood, Allegra Network's director of technology commented,
"Bill has worked closely with us for over ten years in
the development of new equipment for our centers and recommends
the equipment that best fits our franchisees' bindery needs.
He also takes the time to meet with us quarterly and works with
us to establish promotions and competitive pricing for our franchise
system."
Baker added, "LBS works with us to create programs unique
to our organization and often provides us with equipment on
a trial basis to evaluate, allowing us to give better advice
to our franchisees and making it easier to support the equipment
after the purchase."
This type of knowledge is very valuable to us, and it helps
solidify the relationship we have with preferred suppliers such
as LBS," Wood adds. "In addition, LBS is currently
providing input on a new digital printing program we plan to
launch later this year.
Lawrence commented, "We are very excited to work with the
Allegra Network and its franchisees; they are a progressive
leader in the industry on a fast track, now and in the years
to come. We are proud and privileged to work with them as they
achieve even greater successes."
This was the company's first combined show after the acquisition
of Insty-Prints, Inc. early last year. According to Wood, "The
suppliers invited represent products we have evaluated and recommend
to our franchisees, as well as service and equipment suppliers
with whom we have established national contract pricing."
Based out of Rocky River, Ohio, LBS was founded in 1986 and
specializes in paper handling equipment including bookletmakers,
cutters, paper drills, folders, inserters, shredders and collators.
Allegra Network, with nearly 500 locations in North America,
Japan and Poland, supports seven brands including Allegra Print
& Imaging, American Speedy Printing, Insty-Prints,
Quik Print, Speedy Printing, and Zippy Print. The company is
ranked the best in its industry and 54th among the top 500 franchises
in the world. Their independently owned franchises specialize
in full-service print and graphic communications. Principal
shareholders include members of Allegra Network management and
Domino's Pizza founder and former CEO, Thomas S. Monaghan. |
